Penerapan Model Student Teams Achievement Division di MIN 11 Aceh Barat

Abstract
The implementation of teaching and learning activities by teachers places great emphasis on students’ success in understanding the material being taught. However, the problem is that even though teachers have made efforts to teach well, some students do not pay attention to the teacher’s explanations and feel bored during learning. This occurs because the teaching methods used by teachers are still teacher-centered. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) model at MIN 11 Aceh Barat and to examine the impact of implementing the Student Teams Achievement Division model in improving students’ learning outcomes at MIN 11 Aceh Barat. This study employed an experimental research method applied to two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. Data collection techniques included tests, observation, and documentation. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the Student Teams Achievement Division model at MIN 11 Aceh Barat was carried out in two meetings through the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The comparison of observation results indicated that the experimental class achieved a higher score of 93.75% compared to the control class, which obtained 67.5%. Meanwhile, teacher observation results in the experimental class reached 100%, whereas in the control class they reached 95%.
