Abstract

AbstractIslamic education does not apply the method of giving glad tidings (tabshir) and warnings (tandhir) merely to frighten learners. Rather, it employs warnings through various approaches, beginning with verbal admonition and extending to practical guidance. Islamic education implements the method of glad tidings and warnings by integrating a well-planned and systematic body of educational wisdom aimed at achieving its educational goals and future aspirations. The application of this educational approach is particularly appropriate for learners, especially in the field of Islamic creed (aqidah), particularly the doctrine of tawhid (the Oneness of Allah). Therefore, teachers should continuously provide both encouragement and warning so that this creed becomes firmly rooted in the learners' minds and hearts.The method of tabshir and tandhir is one of the essential instructional methods in teaching and nurturing aqidah. It cultivates renewed enthusiasm, courage, and motivation among learners without making them feel coerced or pressured. Through this method, Islamic schools and educational institutions are able to teach Islamic creed effectively and systematically, enabling the fundamental principles of Islam and faith to be implemented in the learners' daily lives.
